The top traders section ranks TMM users who choose to compete, using results imported from their connected exchange accounts. It is optional and off until you enable it.
Traders who finish in 1st to 3rd place receive a one-month subscription: an existing subscription is extended, and a trader without one receives a one-month Trader plan.
Every TMM user can take part, on any plan, including the free one.
Open the public profile settings, enable the public profile and select "Top Traders" to take part.
Choose the API key that will compete — one API key at a time can be ranked — and click Save.
The ranking is rebuilt once an hour, so it takes up to an hour before you appear in it.
The percentage is the profit for the period divided by the trader's own capital — the money deposited, not the money earned by trading. Deposits raise the base, withdrawals and trading profit do not change it, so funding moves cannot inflate the result.
The base is never smaller than $100 in Top Traders and $1,000 in the PRO league: trade with $40, earn $20, and the result is $20 ÷ $100 = +20%.
If the trader chose to show profit, the dollar amount below the percentage is exactly the profit the percentage was computed from.
Only trades opened after the API key was selected for the leaderboard and closed on the exchange inside the period are counted.
The top traders section works in UTC: at 00:00 UTC the daily ranking closes and a new one starts, which is also when the daily candle closes on crypto exchanges.
The monthly ranking closes together with the monthly candle.
The PRO league is entered by scoring 3 PRO points from an automatic weekly review of your trading.
At the end of each week the algorithm looks at that week: a week that was profitable, stayed inside your risk limits and traded a meaningful volume earns 1 point; a week that fails the check costs 1 point.
You can track your points in the Top Traders section. At 3 points you move to the PRO league with a reserve of 3 points, and losing 3 points there returns you to the regular league.
Two quiet weeks in a row (no trades) cost nothing; after that each further quiet week costs a point, and a losing week costs a point. Changing the API key selected for the ranking resets your points.
Ranked results are built from trades imported through read-only exchange API keys, and TMM never places or edits trades on the exchange.
Trades cannot be created manually in TMM, so a ranking position reflects the trade data the exchange itself reported for that account. Only trades closed on the exchange are counted.
Most likely that trader has more than one API key connected.
A public profile shows combined statistics for all the API keys the trader publishes, while the top traders ranking counts a single API key.
