Questions about Top Traders
How is Top Traders calculated?
Top Traders compares percentage growth from closed trades during the selected period, measured against each trade's account balance. Deposits and withdrawals are excluded by design — moving money into an account cannot improve its position. Only completed trades in the synchronized account data affect the result, and only accounts with a positive result for the period are ranked.
How often does the ranking update?
Top Traders updates every hour, and positions can change as new trading results are synchronized. The daily ranking covers the current UTC day and the monthly ranking the current UTC month.
Who can take part in Top Traders?
Any TMM user can take part, including on the free Novice plan. Participation is optional and stays off until you enable it: it requires a public profile and one selected API key, and only the results of that key are ranked.
How do I join Top Traders?
Enable your public profile, join Top Traders, and select the API key that will represent your trading in the ranking — from the leaderboard page in the app or from your public profile settings. After saving, it can take up to an hour for the account to appear, because the leaderboard updates once an hour.
What can I see on a trader's profile?
A public profile shows the result for the period together with the trading statistics its owner has chosen to publish — typically win rate, profit factor, P&L history and other available figures. Each trader controls what is visible, so profiles differ in how much detail they show.
Does a high position mean I should trade the same way?
No. A position reflects one account's percentage growth during the selected period and nothing else. It is not advice, not a recommendation and not a prediction — a strong period can come from a strategy, from the risk taken, or from a single trade.
What do the monthly leaders receive?
Traders finishing first to third in the monthly ranking receive one month of the TMM Trader plan. An existing Trader subscription is extended by a month, and a winner on a different paid plan receives the equal value as additional days of their own plan. Both Top Traders and PRO League award monthly prizes.
