Questions about Top Traders
How is the Top Traders result calculated?
The result is your profit for the period divided by the calculation base. The base is the money you deposited into the account, not the profit you earned trading. Deposits raise the base; withdrawals do not lower it. The minimum base is $100 for Top Traders and $1,000 for the PRO League. Only trades opened after you selected the API key for the leaderboard and closed inside the current period count. Only traders with a positive result are listed.
How often does the leaderboard update?
Top Traders updates roughly once an hour. Positions can change after new trades are synchronized. Top of the Day covers the current UTC day; Top of the Month covers the current UTC month.
Who can take part in Top Traders?
Any TMM user can take part, including on the free Novice plan. Participation is off by default. To get on the leaderboard, turn your public profile on and select one API key. Only the results of that key are counted in the ranking.
How do I join Top Traders?
Turn your public profile on and select the API key that will take part in Top Traders. You can do this on the leaderboard page or in your public-profile settings. After joining, you may not appear right away: the leaderboard updates roughly once an hour.
What can I see on a trader's profile?
A public profile shows the trader's result and the statistics they chose to make visible. That can include win rate, profit factor, P&L history and other metrics. Each trader decides which data to show.
Should I copy the leaderboard leader?
No. A leaderboard position only shows the account's result for the selected period. A high result can come from the strategy, the level of risk, or even a single trade. A position in Top Traders is not a trading recommendation or a forecast of future results.
What do the monthly leaders receive?
Traders who finish in the top three of Top of the Month receive one month of the TMM Trader plan. If the winner already has Trader, the subscription is extended by a month. On a different paid plan, the equivalent number of extra days is added. Prizes are awarded separately in Top Traders and the PRO League.
