Example

Over a month you close 60 crypto trades and 37 of them finish in profit. Your win rate is 37 ÷ 60 × 100 = 61.7%. Solid, but it says nothing about whether your average winner is bigger than your average loser.

The number it needs beside it

Win rate only becomes useful next to your risk-reward ratio. A trader winning 40% of the time at 1:3 reward-to-risk makes money; a trader winning 70% at 1:0.3 loses it. The two combine into expectancy, which is what actually predicts account growth. Track win rate per setup, per exchange, and per session, and you'll find which trades to keep and which to cut.
